A new year and new start...

And i am back...
Like a very bad blogger who disappers for months. But back after loads of events and changes in life and work. On that later...

A new year kick start with a fresh note : Where beautiful details make a moment !!
Well! if you can relate to these words, YES! you might go deep in thoughts.
Ahmm ahm.. not by me. These are the works of the very famous, unique, artistic Kristy Rice at her studio Momental.

And here are some fantastic works by her..

I wonder what a feeling it would be when your cards are not only customized designed, but also each one is handcrafted to the best. !!

With a very bright and inspiring start to the year, I wish you all full of laughs, play, experiments, arts and LOVE!!

A yet another chapter !!

My friend happened to buzz "Similarity between a book and life –‘one chapter has to end for another one to begin". Perfect to me. My parents moved to our hometown and i will be sharing an apartment with a friend. Its all a mixed feeling. I would miss my parents. i was soo much used to see lots of faces after coming home, at the same time now i will be staying with friends which should be fun too. Well!! looking forward for these lots of changes to be fun.

home shifting.. was a real pain
But before that heres a small bye bye to the something i am going to miss the most. My terrace!! Our house was inside the lush greens of Aarey colony, and heres the view. You would know why i miss it soo much.

The planters in the campus

Ashoka flowers , all bloomed in April
Bird of Paradise . I love these flowers
Home to the Eagles

A view to die for

Yes!! I would soo miss all this.
The good thing would be atleast there would be pizza delivery at my new place.
Pardon my writing. I am not good at writing when I get senti..
Good Day!!

Have a good laugh!!

A few days back i happen to bump into one of my really old friend in a BEST bus. Yes !! A really small world. She was a neighbour and we used to share a cab to work.  i was new to the city and had joined an architect as a trainee. She made great companion as we spent almost three hours a day together travel to the work and back. Strangly, she didnt remembered my profession or my native place, but she remembered i was a JERRY KING fan. I was too much into comic strips those days and often created one or two a day based on incidents happening around. I dont remember where i kept all those comics strips i made but i thought it would be a great idea to share some of the Jerry Kings works.

For those who dont know Jerry King is  an award-winning cartoonist who’s one of the most published, prolific and versatile cartoonists in the world today and yes i dont have a great sense of humour but i can be counted amongst the good observers.
I hope each one of you could relate them to some incidents in your life. if they are funny enough please do share.
Have a happy day!! Cheers!!

Open to possibilities !!

Monday Morning... woke up to rains.
Had a hard time travelling with all water clogged Mumbai roads, traffic moving absolutely slow.
But something that rejunevated me and got me back to work mode. These are lines by Neha Awasthi's blog Corners and Moments. i love to read this blog.

I am absolutely looking at new possibilities and that would come from the small dreams you have which you tend to lookover.

I hope to have a great day forward ! And to freshen you up i would like to share with you a little dream. A dream backyard sitting!! with family and friends will be perfect. I have been planning to create a sitout space when i have my own house. Hope to have my own house soon!!!

I am sure you also have such lil dreams that you overlook. Take out time to ponder on them. That might make your life a little happier!!

Stream of life

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

Remember the old road

remember the old road
the steep stony path
That took us up from Rajpur
Toiling and sweating
And grumbling at the climb
But enjoying it all the same.

At first the hills were hot and bare
But then there were trees near Jharipani
And we stopped at the Halfway House
And swallowed lungfuls of diamond-cut air
Then onwards, upwards, to the town
Our appetites to repair!

Well, no one uses the old road anymore
Walking is out of fashion now
And if you have a car to take you
Swiftly up the motor road
Why bother to toil up ad disused path?

You’d have to be an old romantic like me
To want to take that route again.

But I did it last year
Pausing and plodding and gasping for air
Both road and I being a little worse for wear!
But I made it to the top and stopped to rest
And looked down to the valley and the silver stream
Winding its way down the plains.

And the land stetched out before me,
and the years fell away
And I was a boy again
And the friends of my youth were there beside me
And nothing had changed.

to the colour .. movement and poetry...

when the dark filled my day,
furthest, but most faithful, stood
That lone star I cast away.
Ihad loved myself, and I
have not lived and dare not die.

Seems .... a chapter from Ruskin Bond opens at my place...

a view from my balcony...

i stay at aarey colony .. goregaon. i havent seen much of mumbai but i am sure it is one of the greenest areas in mumbai... the life inside aarey colony is just opposite to the life outside...
You can hear chirping of birds all through the day. The rustling of wind through the trees.. and the perfect scenary through my balcony. There are lots of different, colourful and beautiful birds over here..all started making their nests by now.
Outside my window is a coconut tree. Its home for a huge yellow eagle and four weaving birds. This huge yellow eagle is a beauty in itself and has a baby. While the eagle flies out, the lots of crows who also live on nearby trees torture the baby eagle. oh!!! even the eagle has been troubling the other birds and me when i go to the terrace...
A few days back, when it hadnt started raining, we kept a vessel filled with water on the terrace for the birds. And every evening i used to refill it.
One day i just thought of sitting far and see the birds drinkin water.i noticed a pattern in them. At a time only small bird come to have water. then comes the crows. OMG! there are lots of crows in mumbai. Though these crows keep crowing all day (which is very irritating at times), there was a very interesting pattern i got to see in them. First the elder crows drink the water,( i think they are elder coz they are lighter in colour and they have a mustach kind of thingcoming out from the sides of their beak) till they are not done the younger ones( darker and shiny ones) stand aside and wait for them. And when the king crow ( giant, shiny and jet black) comes all the crows stand a distance apart. i have never seen an eagle coming to drink the water.. i wonder where does he go all day.. even when these birds keep fighting , there is a sense of sharing when it comes to food.

there is a way of living...designed by nature .. for the birds and for the trees and the humans too .. which i think must be the right way of living... if we go against the nature, the nature would go against us....These birds could understand it ..... i wish we humans were enough intelligent to understand it..
